JEFF BROWN

Jeff Brown is the chief TV Sports Reporter and Presenter for BBC Look North, covering the North East and Cumbria. It’s a post he’s held since 2003, having previously worked for the Birmingham Post & Mail, the Newcastle Journal and Tyne Tees Television in a journalistic career which began in 1982.

Jeff’s first attempt at playwriting featured in Tales from the Red & Whites. His monologue – 'Cornered' – is the story of former Sunderland defender David Corner, and how the teenager’s life changed after his part in the goal which cost the Wearsiders the 1985 Milk Cup final against Norwich.

'Cornered' is about to hit the stage, with a short tour of four North East venues in September along with two performances in a London pub.
