SEAN DYCHE

In a career that spanned almost two decades, Sean played for a number of clubs, most notably Chesterfield. During his time in Derbyshire Sean made 231 appearances and was part of the team that won the Division Three Playoffs and reach the FA Cup semi final in 1997 against Middlesbrough where he scored a penalty. Sean arrived at Watford in 2002 and went on to make 72 appearances and was named captain during his final season.

He is remembered more so in his role off the pitch rather than on it at Vicarage Road. After retiring in 2007, Sean became the Watford U18’s coach and then assistant manager to Malky Mackay in 2009. When Mackay left in 2011, Sean was offered the vacant manager position and managed to guide Watford to an 11th place finish, despite being tipped for relegation.

Sean is interviewed in Tales from the Vicarage volume 3 and has made appearances a several live events.
