ROB BAGCHI

Born in Wakefield the day before a 2-0 victory over Southampton, Rob lived there for the first 18 years of his life. He worked for Sportspages book shops in London and Manchester for ten years, joined the sports desk of the Guardian in 2002 and left for the Telegraph in 2013, where he remains. He co-wrote The Unforgiven which was first published in 2002 and has subsequently been reprinted in yellow, green and, finally, white covers, as well as three other books. Rob lives in London – the main reason he gave up his season ticket ten years ago; the others being two young children and exasperation after a spiky phone call with Ken Bates.
