RAY LEWINGTON

Lewington joined the ‘Orns in 2001, brought in to be Gianluca Vialli’s assistant. When Vialli left the club after the end of the season, Lewington took over and was in charge of steadying the ship during a fairly turbulent time off the pitch at Vicarage Road. He was in charge of Watford from 2002 – 2005 and guided Watford to semi-finals in both the FA Cup in 2003 against Southampton and the League Cup in 2005 against Liverpool.

His interview in Tales from the Vicarage volume 3 looks at the happenings off the pitch during his tenure.
